"Necessity is the mother of invention!"
So it has been for us all along. K.K.Academy is an English medium school and for our students, English is very much a foreign language, which they do not hear or speak outside of school. The challenge was for us to find ways of helping children comprehend, speak and write the language right from an early age. The methods should also be fun for children, so that they pick it up and run with it.
Children are blessed with abundant imagination, which only needs to be given the space to blossom and grow. Nurtured appropriately, the results are astounding. We present here, our young artists, story tellers, poets and more!
Our School song was written by a friend who was a well-known Hindi poet. In the course of discussions, I was describing to him the philosophy of the school and he wrote the lyrics. Our Music teacher turned it into a song.

सबसे प्यारा, सबसे न्यारा, यह विद्यालय हमारा है!
This year, for the republic day, a few of us were selected to put up a show in the park. We started the day by hoisting our national flag -which was done by uncle. After this, we sang patriotic songs. It was exciting to put up the programme as all the residents of the colony came by to watch us perform. The day ended with sweets and samosas and we were given pencil boxes and toffees as gifts. We are grateful to all our teachers and Principal ma'am for helping us organise such a good show! It was a really proud moment for us, as the show was very well received and greatly praised by everyone who came to watch. click to the pictures
K.K. Academy was established in the year 1989, with just the Nursery class and 5 children. We increased a class every year till class VII. Recognized by the UP board, we now exceed 215 students –an ongoing journey we are proud to be on!
Our students belong to a variety of social strata, which means that we have to sometimes go out of our way to address the individual needs of our students and understand each of them on a personal level.
We currently have 50 students getting merit-cum-means scholarships.
We are also working with children through the RTE act. These children are from extremely backward sections of society -most of them, the first generation of literates in their families. The education of these children is free of any charge.
Another focus of ours are slow learners and children with special needs and abilities.
Through our efforts, we aim to achieve a better, more inclusive learning experience that celebrates and nurtures the little ways in which each child is different.
